My Dear Jaycee Leaders,

I thank you for your wonderful support and for the trust you are bestowing in me and the team for 2008.

Now we need to put the plans into action.

Deciding is one thing ….. doing is another. I come to think of the story of the two frogs sitting on the edge of a pool of water. One of them makes the decision to jump. The question is: How many frogs are then on the edge of the pool: Still 2!

Deciding is not the same as doing.

Hence, my dear friends, now it is time to do and to show the results in the year to come.

We have much to be proud of in years that have passed. Any success, however, is the result not of any one person's efforts, but of those of many people working together, towards a common vision. It was a pleasure for me to work with Jc. Kedar Mitra, who did a remarkable job in his role as a president. Under his leadership the performance of the team was outstanding. The chapter witnessed a series of excellent projects, touching all the fields of Jayceesim. To name a few : Distribution of food & clothes to the underprivileged children, time-to-time Individual Development courses both for Jaycees and Jayceeretts, regular free Health Check-up & Blood Donation camps, dance competition in the name of Ranchi Idol, And … our signature project ….. that has been a landmark for our state and the much talked about in the town … EXPO UTSAV. Hats-off to the team.

My dear friend Jc. Kedar is not only handed over the chair and gavel to me, but also the challenge to serve the chapter, for being at least at par, as the Term - 2007.

So, my dear Jaycee friends, we cannot rest on our achievements, but find ways to capitalize on them to become stronger than ever before. I am sure that my team comprises of a unique breed of leader, who does not fear challenges but uses them to motivate himself and others.

I visualize for a much stronger and popular Ranchi Jaycee having our own School with subsidized fee structure for children "the furute" of Jharkhand. A "Jaycee Chowk" that will be run and maintained by Jaycees in the lines of Green Ranchi - Clean Ranchi.

Last but not the least, I seek the support of all the spiritual powers, my family members, my friends, past presidents and my fellow jaycees sitting in front of me.

I will do my best to continue living up to your expectations.

Its now time for us to unite together and TEAM-UP to CONQUER the world.
